3 Before bidding farewell to 2021, the Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC) announced the 2022 executive officers and area directors. They were officially installed during the SCC’s 75th Annual Scientific Meeting & Showcase. Your Executive Officers for the current year are (L-R above): Michelle Hines, PhD (Mary Kay, Inc.) as President Mark Chandler (ACT Solutions Corp) serving as Vice President Tony O’Lenick (Nascent Technologies Corporation) assuming the Vice President-Elect position Qihong Zhang, PhD (Estée Lauder Companies) begins her two-year term as Secretary and Karen Chun (Symrise) continues as the Society’s Treasurer. Serving on the Board as your Area Directors are: Your 2022 Executive Officers and Area Directors Senior Director Marie Thadal (Coptis, Inc.) and newly-elected Director Volodymyr (Vlad) Onyshchak (The Estée Lauder Companies) will serve Area I. Area I Chapters include: Connecticut, Long Island, New England, and New York. Senior Director Melissa Christenson (BRIDGE, Inc.) and newly-elected Director Sophie Bonham (Cosmos Corporation) will serve Area II. Area Chapters II include: Michigan, Midwest, St. Louis, and Twin Cities. Senior Director Angie Inouye (Charkit Chemical Corp.) and newly-elected Director Aaron Peterson (Barnet Products Corporation) will serve Area III. Area III Chapters include: California, Intermountain West, and Southwest. Senior Director Angela Eppler (Pfizer Consumer Healthcare) and newly- elected Director Cubie Lamb (J. Strickland & Company) will serve Area IV. Area IV Chapters include: Carolina, Florida, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast. Congratulations to the new and returning Board Members. We are grateful for their willingness to serve in a leadership role in the coming year. Senior Director Kayla Ivey (GOJO Industries, Inc.) and newly-elected Director Lionel Ripoll, PhD (UQAC) will serve the new Area V.
