17 The “Stanley Allured Lifetime Service Award” began in 2010 to recognize a member of the Midwest SCC Chapter for a lifetime of distinguished contributions, achievements and service to the Chapter. This award is being presented to Marcie to thank her for her dedication and enthusiasm to the Midwest SCC. It was a true pleasure to have Marcie, her Husband David and her sons there to honor her work throughout the years. Marcie is an inspiration to us all. Since Marcie joined our Chapter in 1988, she served as chapter Secretary at least once in 2008. She tells us the first time is a blur. She has been extremely active on various committees for the Chapter for all 31-years, serving the longest in her current role as Membership Chair, but has been the volunteer coordinator for Teamworks for many years as well as other chapter events such as student poster judging and has just taken on Program and House with Elvia Isguera. Whenever and wherever help is needed, you’ll see her lending a hand and speaking up with ideas to offer more value to our members. Ms. Papadakis career has spanned several industries and disciplines. Her first position was as product development and customer service on aerosol and liquid personal care, automotive, and household cleaning products for Demert & Dougherty. After a few years, she went to Helene Curtis/ Unilever as a product development Scientist. In 1996 she moved to TRI-K Industries and was responsible for sales of personal care materials in a five-state Midwest territory. In 1999 she moved to Dragoco Fragrances. In 2002 she moved to Quest Fragrances and in 2004 she began working for Ungerer. She then joined Akzo Nobel/ Nouryon as their Midwest Account Manager and then moved up to the Global Account Manager.
