134 JOURNAL OF THE SOCIETY OF COSMETIC CHEMISTS Literature Survey The Literature Survey, a service initiated by the New York Chap- ter of the Society, will now appear in this JOURNAL.* It is apparent that the number of published papers which may be of interest to readers of the JOURNAL is increasing so rapidly that it has become difficult to keep abreast of the literature. It is hoped that the Survey will serve as an up- to-date guide to articles which appear to have interest and information for cosmetic chemists. This Survey is not a complete list of technical articles pertaining to cosmetics. No attempt will be made to abstract or elaborate on the material surveyed. Hopefully, readers will find this Survey interesting and can use it as a valuable tool in expanding their occupational effi- ciency. Joseph H. Kratochvil Joseph L. Rosenstreich * The Survey appears on pages xxxiii-xxxix following the Synopses.
