ANNUAL REPORT OF THE PRESIDENT 73 We take pride in the recognition we have achieved in 1967 by other professional societies such as the American Pharmaceutical Association and the American Oil Chemists' Society. We have cooperated with these societies in publicizing our respective programs and we hope to be guided by their operations as we build up our own administrative staff. We also sincerely welcome the hand of friendship extended this year by James Merritt of the TGA, and the congenial and cooperative relation- ship established between our Societies. In closing may I again extend my sincerest thanks to the entire Board of Directors, to our many committee chairmen and to all the members of our committees, for the great services you have contributed to our Society and particularly for the immeasurable assistance you have given me this year. As my term ends, I am grateful to the membership for their confidence in me, for granting me this tremendous responsibility of the Presidency. My strongest advice to your incoming Board is to continue to emphasize all activities which help to further our technical achievement, our profes- sional stature, and recognition of the Cosmetic Sciences. I am certain that 1968 will prove to be another record-shattering year of progress.
