The 1970 Society of Cosmetic Chemists Award sponsored by Shaw Mudge gc Co. has been presented to Dr. Leon Golberg, Albany Medical College Mr. Bo H. Min, Hoffmann-LaRoche, Inc. and Dr. Chandra Parekh, E. R. Squibb gc Sons, Inc., for their paper "Experimental Studies of Sodium Pyridinethione. I. Percutaneous Absorption in Laboratory Animals," published in Food & Cosmetic Toxicology, 8, 147-160 (1970). Formal presentation was made by the Society's President, Mr. Morris Root, at the December 13th luncheon during the Society's annual meet- ing in New York City. The award, consisting of a scroll and a $1000 honorarium, is presented annually to the author or authors of the paper judged to be the most outstanding contribution to safety or safety testing in the use of toiletry and cosmetic products.
