518 JOURNAl. O1: THE SOCIETY O!,' COSMETIC CHEMISTS SUMMARY I. Under controlled conditions, with the mouse as the experimental animal, it has been shown that the tensile strength of a standardized skin wound increased as the wound healed. II. The effects of several preparations applied topically to the standard wound were demonstrated by tensile strength measurements. (Received Aplil 1, 1964) REFERENCES (1) O. W. Neuhaus, H. F.
