All meetings are held at Henrici's Restaurant in the Merchandise Mart on the second Tuesday of the month. NEW YORK SECTION NEWS T.E SEPT•MBF•}• meeting featured a talk by Mrs. Maria Wiener, technical director of the Fluid Chemical Company. Mrs. Wiener discussed the factors involved in obtaining the desired spray pattern the importance of design of valve and actuator, pressure and flashing as well as physical and chemical characteristics. Miss Elizabeth Ramsey, bacteriologist for the Leberco Laboratory, spoke on "Microbiology and Its Place in the Cosmetic Industry," at the October 23rd meeting. Miss Ramsey, a graduate of Cornell University, has been a consultant and research worker in the field of bacteriology for over 19 years. JOURNAL OF THE SOCIETY OF COSMETIC CHEMISTS Annual Golf Meeting, 1957 The Annual Golf Meeting, organized by Dr. R. H. Marriott, was held at Burhill Golf Club on June 19th. Prizes were donated by Antoine Chiris Ltd., J. R. A. Evans of Wilson and Mansfield Ltd., and T. G. C. Hendy of Evans Chemicals Ltd. A Medal Round for the Firmenich Cups was won by J. D. Smart of the Beecham Group and the runner-up was K. Bohemen of Polak and Schwarz Ltd. In the afternoon a two-ball foursome against bogey was won by E. Firmin and C. H. Maile, both of Beecham Group. The runners-up were J. N. Cooper and H. C. Staines, both of Scott and Bowne Ltd.
