Tyson of Redken Laboratories, Inc., for the most meritorious &aper which was entitled "Birefringence: Polarization Mi- croscopy as a Quantitative Technique of Human Hair Analysis." Formal presentation of the Award was made by Dr. Karl Laden, Society of Cosmetic Chemists President, during the Awards Luncheon on May 5 at the Hotel Bonaventure in Montreal, Canada.
