International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists The Praesidium of the I.F.S.C.C. met in Barcelona during the Semana de Quimica Cosmetica (April 26-May 2) at the invitation of the Sociedad Espanola de Quimicos Cosmeticos. The occasion provided by the Semana de Quimica Cosmetica was most appropriate because, for the first time, a major exhibition was mounted combining scientific symposia, technical demonstrations, and the consumer attributes of cosmetics. The matters discussed by the Praesidium included the Federation policy on Legislation, recommendations on which are shortly to be published, and plans for furthering scientific education in the fields appropriate to the industry. Agreement was reached on plans for the next World Congress of Cosmetic Science, in June 1966, and that follow- ing in Tokyo in 1968.
