ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING The Annual General Meeting of the Society will take place on Friday, 22nd May 1959, at 7 p.m. at 55, Park Lane, London, W.1. British Congress of Cosmetic Science THE British Congress of Cosmetic Science is to be held in London, from 15th-17th April 1959. Participation is permitted only when application has been made on the appropriate form, and the fees duly paid. Each participating member will be entitled to introduce one lady guest, the only proviso being that the accommodation available for the Congress Dinner is limited to 220. The application form is obtainable from and should be returned, when completed, with the appropriate fees to Dr. R. H. Marriott, c/o County Laboratories, Ltd., Honeypot Lane, Stanmore, Middlesex. The closing date for applica- tions is the 1st March 1959. The charge for active participation is •1 Os. 0d., which fee includes a complete set of pre-prints of the lectures. Procedure at Scientific Sessions The separate papers, having been issued in advance of the meeting, will be taken as read, and the authors will devote not more than ten minutes to indicate the matters which they deem to merit particular attention. There- upon, the subject will be thrown open to discussion. Except when the Chairman indicates that a longer time is allowed, verbal contributions to the discussion must not occupy more than four minutes. Pre-prints of lectures The pre-prints of lectures will be despatched by 4th March 1959, or thereabouts. Unless application is made by l st March, no guarantee can be given that these pre-prints will be despatched before the Congress. Late applications will only be accepted if supplies of proofs are available.
