120 JOURNAL OF THE SOCIETY OF COSMETIC CHEMISTS GALIFORNIA GHAPTER HARRY W. MACE, Waval-Thermal Company, spoke on "How Permanent Is Permanent?," at the September 26, 1960, meeting in Los Angeles. The speaker delved into permanent waving and the "permanence thereof," both from the standpoint of the processing solution and the neutralizer. Mr. Mace was born in Chicago but settled in California in 1929. He graduated from the University of California (Los Angeles) in 1937 and started working for his present employer, and there commenced his long career in chemistry research. He is now serving as Chairman-Elect of this Chapter, having been the Secretary for two terms.
