KN-38 valve. undertaken in which a Kartridg Pak Single Station Undercap Filler* was evaluated. The program was divided into the following studies: 1. The effects of variables on propellant fill. The variables in- cluded aerosol containers, aerosol valves, undercap propellant line pres- sures, fill rates, and times of day. 2. The fill tolerances for Propellant 142b/11• (50:50) systems. The fill tolerances, range, and standard deviation were determined for fill levels from 10 g to 115 g. 3. The fill tolerances for Propellant 12t systems at propellant fill levels found in published cosmetic and pharmaceutical formulas, ranging from 20 to 80 g. In addition, an extremely low level of a 5-g fill was also studied. * Kartridg Pak Co., 807 W. Kimberly Road, Davenport, Iowa. t Allied Chemical, Industrial Chemicals Division, P. O.
