C. Park and Dr. C. B. Baddiel of Unilever Research Laboratories for their papers 'Rheology of stratum corneum--I: A molecular interpreta- tion of the stress-strain curve' and •Rheology of stratum corneum--II: A physico-chemical investigation of factors influencing the water content of the corneum', published in the J. $oc. Cosmet. Chem. 23 3 (1972). The award consisting of a scroll and a oe100 prize was presented to the joint authors by the Society's President, Mr. J. S.
