JOURNAL OF THE SOCIETY OF COSMETIC CHEMISTS 349 Obituary Doctor Donald H. Powers, Past President of the Socmx¾ or Cos- •x•c CI•smsxs, died at his home in Boston, Mass., on January 17, 1968. Doctor Powers had long been an active member and supporter of the Socm•v o• COSMetic CHOruSeS. Doctor Powers graduated from Princeton Universitv in 1924. Since then he has had a long career in industries associated with cos- metics and textiles. Among his numerous professional activities, he was Past Chairman of the Textile Section, Gordon Research Con- ferences Past Chairman, Scientific Section, Toilet Goods Association and a Director of the Textile Research Institute. Don was also an active member of numerous other scientific societies. Don's passing is a loss to the Society, to all his friends and associates and to the cosmetic and textile industry.
